Open the Sprite Checklist →What Is the Loot Hacker Variant?
Loot Hacker is the third special Sprite variant of Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override," arriving in the Sprite directory on Thursday, September 3, 2026 with v42.10, joining Gold and Cheat Master; Bounty Hunter followed, for Crown on September 17 and for every other released variant-capable Sprite on September 24. Loot Hacker forms are live for every released Season 4 Sprite but one — Bush (listed as Loot Hacker Bushranger), Adventure, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Storm Scout, Overshield, Onigiri, Shadow, Tails, Killswitch, Sonic, Jackrabbit, X-Ray, Klombo, Crown, Pond, Crash Bandicoot, Blinky, Morgana, Birthday, Spooky Dash, Vampire, The Deer and Dumpster Dive, plus Honey and One Wish Willow, which have had the form since their release on October 15, 2026. The only Sprite without one is Mega Man, a single-form crossover Sprite.
The bonus is now confirmed by the in-game description: a Loot Hacker Sprite "increases chances of spawning items from your Loot Hacks." Loot Hacks are the season's system where you spend Sprite Dust to customize which items drop for you, so the variant makes those picks show up more often. The line appeared on every Loot Hacker entry in the Sprite directory on September 6, 2026, and Epic backed it up in its September 10 announcement: "equip one and boost your Loot Hack drop rates!" One rule is unchanged: a Loot Hacker Sprite keeps the same core ability as its Normal form, with the Loot Hack perk layered on top.
How to Get Loot Hacker Sprites
Fourteen Loot Hacker Sprites went live with the daily Sprite reset on Thursday, September 10 (9 AM ET), Pond, Crash Bandicoot and Blinky followed with v42.20 on September 17, Loot Hacker Morgana went live on September 24, when Morgana was released with all five forms, and Loot Hacker Birthday followed with the Birthday Sprite on September 26. Every Sprite released since has launched with its Loot Hacker form: Spooky Dash, Vampire, The Deer and Dumpster Dive in v42.30 on October 1, and Honey and One Wish Willow in v42.40 on October 15. Epic's announcement says Hacker Sprite variants are "entering the loot pool," so they turn up in matches, and you must extract before the match ends to keep one. The clearest way to target them is the new "Loot Hacker Sprite Variant" Loot Hack in the Override tab: its first tier (500 Sprite Dust) adds Loot Hacker Sprites to your chest loot pool, and further tiers raise the drop rate from your chests to 7%, then 9%, 11%, 13% and a cap of 15%. The Sprite it gives is random, and Loot Hacks refresh periodically (spent Dust does not carry over), so the option may rotate out later. Epic's v42.40 notes on October 15 list "All Sprite Variants" among the new Loot Hacks.
Loot Hacker Crown is a mastery unlock, not a drop: win any Battle Royale match to unlock Crown, then win with Crown, Cheat Master Crown and Gold Crown equipped in turn to unlock Cheat Master Crown, Gold Crown and Loot Hacker Crown — four Victory Royales from scratch, and a fifth win with Loot Hacker Crown equipped now unlocks Bounty Hunter Crown. Some guides also report Cheat Codes and ordinary chests as sources for the others, but Epic has not confirmed them for Loot Hacker forms. No Season 4 drop rate has been published either, so every Loot Hacker rate stays marked unpublished.
Loot Hacker vs Cheat Master vs Gold
Every released variant-capable Season 4 Sprite has at least six live forms: Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter, and Trick or Treat. Trick or Treat Crown went live on October 1, the other 23 Trick or Treat forms followed on October 8, and Honey and One Wish Willow launched with theirs on October 15. The Trick or Treat bonus has not been published. A seventh form, Quack, arrived on October 15 for only five Sprites — Jonesy, Bush, Adventure, Spooky Dash and Klombo — as a Sprite Mastery reward that gives the other Sprites you carry extra Sprite XP whenever it gains XP.
Because the core ability never changes, choosing which variant to summon comes down to the perk and the flex — Gold for leveling, Cheat Master for Cheat Code effects, Loot Hacker for Loot Hack builds. For collectors the availability gap has closed: as of October 15, every Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter and Trick or Treat row is released for every variant-capable Sprite, and all five Quack rows are live too. Epic's v42.20 notes said Hacker Sprite variants would appear more often during the KINGDOM HEARTS Power Hours on Saturday, September 19.
Tracking the Full Loot Hacker Set
This variant is live for every variant-capable Season 4 Sprite. Mega Man is single-form. Spooky Dash, Vampire, The Deer, and Dumpster Dive joined with five core forms each in v42.30, and Honey and One Wish Willow have had this form since October 15, when v42.40 released them with all six forms. As of October 15, 2026, the full checklist counts 162 released rows across 27 Sprites, including the five Quack rows added that day. Every released row can be tracked separately in the free Sprite Checklist.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Loot Hacker Sprite variant in Fortnite?
Loot Hacker is Chapter 7 Season 4's third special variant, added to the Sprite directory on September 3, 2026 with v42.10, joining Gold and Cheat Master. Every released Season 4 Sprite except Mega Man has a Loot Hacker form, including Honey and One Wish Willow, released on October 15, 2026.
What does the Loot Hacker bonus do?
A Loot Hacker Sprite increases the chances of spawning items from your Loot Hacks, per the in-game description shown on every Loot Hacker entry since September 6, 2026. Epic confirmed it on September 10: "equip one and boost your Loot Hack drop rates!" It keeps the Sprite's normal ability underneath, with this perk layered on top.
How do I get Loot Hacker Sprites?
Fourteen entered the loot pool on September 10, Pond, Crash Bandicoot and Blinky followed on September 17, Morgana on September 24 and Birthday on September 26, and every Sprite released since has launched with one: extract any you find in a match, or use the "Loot Hacker Sprite Variant" Loot Hack (from 500 Sprite Dust) to add random ones to your chest drops. Loot Hacker Crown needs a win with Gold Crown equipped, and one more win with Loot Hacker Crown equipped unlocks Bounty Hunter Crown, the end of Crown's win chain.
How many Sprites have a Loot Hacker form?
All 26 variant-capable released Season 4 Sprites have this form as of October 15, 2026, including the newest, Honey and One Wish Willow, released that day. Single-form Mega Man has none.
Are Loot Hacker Sprites rarer than Gold or Cheat Master?
Unknown. Epic has not published any Season 4 drop rate; the 7–15% in the Loot Hack menu is a chest-drop boost, not a published rate. Loot Hacker Crown is a win-chain unlock rather than a drop, so no drop rate applies to it.
