What the Spooky Dash Sprite Does

Spooky Dash is the pumpkin-shaped Mythic introduced with the October 1 Fortnitemares update. Its active movement power is different from Sonic’s faster sprint or Jackrabbit’s additional jump: you spend a charge to dash while airborne. The directory says it can pass through some objects, without listing every object that qualifies. Treat that limitation seriously when choosing an escape route.

The charge system makes timing the main decision. A dash used to enter a fight may leave fewer options for leaving it. Check your available charges before pushing, keep a route back to cover, and practice the airborne input somewhere safe. The shorter cooldown at higher levels makes the same movement tool available more often; no exact cooldown values have been published here.

How to Find and Collect Spooky Dash

Spooky Dash released on October 1, 2026 with v42.30. The live Sprite directory confirms its Mythic base form and the four established special forms. It does not list a confirmed spawn area for this Sprite yet, so there is no named landing spot to recommend. Epic’s Fortnitemares notes introduce Pumpkin Chests as a general Sprite hunting route and turn Cheat Codes into Trick or Treat Cheats, which may give an extra treat alongside a Sprite.

Those general routes are not published per-Sprite odds. Keep a find safe through extraction before treating it as collection progress, and tick only the exact form you obtained. For Bounty Hunter forms, Epic’s documented route is eliminating opponents. No Season 4 drop rates have been published; the directory’s 0% labels are placeholders rather than proof that a released Sprite cannot be found.

Spooky Dash Variants and the Trick or Treat Release State

Spooky Dash has five verified live forms: Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, and Bounty Hunter. Each keeps the same base ability. Gold adds bonus Sprite XP from eliminations, Cheat Master makes Cheat Code inputs count as correct, Loot Hacker improves the chances of items from your Loot Hacks, and Bounty Hunter offers a chance to find Sprites on eliminations while gaining Sprite XP only from eliminations unless a special Sprite rule applies.

The sixth form, Trick or Treat Spooky Dash, has a real icon but remains unreleased on October 1. Its cell stays Soon and does not reduce your completion percentage. The directory has not published its bonus or the wider release date. Only Trick or Treat Crown is live so far. A new column is therefore not evidence that every row in it can already be collected.

A mobility companion for changing position

Jump again while airborne to spend a charge on a dash that can phase through some objects. Charges return over time, and the time between charges gets shorter as the Sprite levels.

Use Spooky Dash when a repositioning tool fits your plan. It can help you change your angle in a fight, but a charge is a resource: spending it for a small movement may leave you waiting when an opponent closes in. The description does not promise invulnerability or passage through every wall, so plan around cover and test the objects you intend to cross. If your aim is simply to sprint faster throughout a rotation, compare Sonic; if you want another jump, compare Jackrabbit. These are different movement choices, rather than a verified ranking.

Track Each Spooky Dash Form Separately

The free Sprite Checklist saves your collection in your browser and treats each variant as a separate find. Owning Normal does not mark Gold or another theme as owned. Use the Missing filter before a session to choose a target, then update the right cell after you extract it. Mastery is tracked separately, so finding a form and completing its leveling path remain distinct achievements.

Share links and backup codes preserve the collection you recorded. An upcoming row becomes collectable only after its release is verified; you can revisit this guide and What’s New for later status changes. The Season 3 archive remains a separate checklist, so a find from that older generation does not stand in for a current Override Sprite.
