What's New in Fortnite Sprites

Every new Sprite, variant and event — logged the day it drops. Epic adds new Sprites most Thursdays, so check back weekly. There are currently 21 Sprites across 101 released variants. Track them on the Sprite Checklist.

  1. v42.20 New Sprites

The Birthday Sprite is live: 21 Sprites and 101 variants on the Override checklist

    • New Sprite: Birthday (Rare) went live on Saturday, September 26 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET, the date Epic gave in its v42.20 notes, with all five forms at once — Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, and Bounty Hunter. All five are verified live in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory, so its "Soon" cells are now normal checklist rows.
    • It launched with Epic's Birthday Power Hours for Battle Royale's ninth birthday: everyone drops in with Presents, the Exotic Balloon Popper Assault Rifle is in the wild, and 1-Up Tokens and Portable Extractors may drop from Chests. The first round started at 2 PM ET and a second starts at 9 PM ET (6 PM PT).
    • What it does: opening chests has a chance to spawn a slice of cake, and at max level eliminations can spawn cake too; the chance grows with each level. The Sprite directory lists it as spotted near high and mountainous areas.
    • The Season 4 checklist is now 21 Sprites and 101 released rows (21 Normal, 20 Gold, 20 Cheat Master, 20 Loot Hacker, 20 Bounty Hunter), and nothing from the v42.20 files is still pending. Share codes minted from today carry the new v15 order; older v14 links still decode exactly as shared. Season 4 drop rates remain unpublished for every row.
  2. v42.20 New Sprites

The Bounty Hunter wave and Morgana are live: 20 Sprites and 96 variants on the Override checklist

    • The Bounty Hunter line went live at the 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET reset on Thursday, September 24. Bush, Adventure, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Storm Scout, Overshield, Onigiri, Shadow, Tails, Killswitch, Sonic, Pond, Jackrabbit, X-Ray, Blinky, Crash Bandicoot, and Klombo each gained a Bounty Hunter form, joining Bounty Hunter Crown (live since September 17). All 17 are verified in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory, so their "Soon" cells are now normal checklist rows.
    • How they work: the in-game text reads "Chance to find Sprites when eliminating opponents. Only gains Sprite XP from eliminations, unless Sprite has special XP rules." Epic's route is eliminations — Bounty Hunter Sprites have a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents. Crown still levels only from wins, and Vice reports that Bounty Hunter Klombo still has to be fed HP items to master it.
    • New Sprite: Morgana (Epic, from Persona 5) arrived in the same update with all five forms live on day one — Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, and Bounty Hunter. It increases the effectiveness of healing items, and the boost grows with each level. Morgana was in the v42.20 files but never appeared in Epic's notes; the Sprite directory does not list a spawn location yet.
    • The Season 4 checklist is now 20 Sprites and 96 released rows (20 Normal, 19 Gold, 19 Cheat Master, 19 Loot Hacker, 19 Bounty Hunter). Share codes minted from today carry the new v14 order; older v13 links still decode exactly as shared. Season 4 drop rates remain unpublished for every row.
    • Still ahead: the Birthday Sprite (Rare) with all five of its forms — including the last Bounty Hunter row — from Saturday, September 26, per Epic.
  3. v42.20 Variant

Bounty Hunter Crown is live: the first Bounty Hunter row joins the Override checklist (19 Sprites, 74 variants)

    • Bounty Hunter Crown went live with v42.20 on Thursday, September 17 — a week ahead of the rest of the Bounty Hunter line — and is now verified live in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory, so its cell switches from "Soon" to a normal checklist row. Like every other Crown form it is a mastery unlock: win a match with Loot Hacker Crown equipped and Bounty Hunter Crown is granted automatically. Players who had already won with Loot Hacker Crown equipped received it on day one.
    • One quirk to know: until the full Bounty Hunter launch on Thursday, September 24, the game hides Bounty Hunter Crown from the in-game Sprite collection screen after you earn it. The unlock is tied to your account, so tick the row once you have that Loot Hacker Crown win. Like every Crown form it levels only from wins, not eliminations.
    • The in-game Bounty Hunter bonus is now published in the Sprite directory on every Bounty Hunter page — "Chance to find Sprites when eliminating opponents. Only gains Sprite XP from eliminations, unless Sprite has special XP rules." — and the variant pages now show it. The other 19 Bounty Hunter rows (every variant-capable Sprite except Crown) stay marked Soon until September 24.
    • The Season 4 checklist is now 19 Sprites and 74 released rows (19 Normal, 18 Gold, 18 Cheat Master, 18 Loot Hacker, 1 Bounty Hunter). Share codes minted from today carry the new v13 order; older v12 links still decode exactly as shared. Season 4 drop rates remain unpublished for every row.
    • Still ahead per Epic: the remaining Bounty Hunter variants on Thursday, September 24, and the Birthday Sprite on Saturday, September 26. Morgana remains in the files with no announced date.
  4. v42.20 New Sprites

v42.20 adds Blinky, Crash Bandicoot, and Pond: 19 Sprites, 73 variants, and a new Bounty Hunter column

    • Three new Sprites went live with v42.20 on September 17, each with Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, and Loot Hacker forms from day one, all verified in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory the same morning: Blinky (Legendary, from PAC-MAN) — taking damage cloaks you for a short time; Crash Bandicoot (Legendary) — a midair spin attack that damages and knocks back nearby opponents; and Pond (Epic), Pine & Kiri's Design-A-Sprite winner — jump shortly after landing for a Super Jump.
    • Bounty Hunter is the new fifth Season 4 form. Per Epic, these Sprites arrive on Thursday, September 24, "have a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents," and level up only from eliminations. Art exists for every Sprite except Mega Man, so the checklist now shows a Bounty Hunter column with "Soon" cells that unlock the day they go live.
    • Coming soon: the Birthday Sprite (Rare) is available starting Saturday, September 26, per Epic — chests can serve up cake, and at max level eliminations can too. Morgana (Epic, boosts healing items) is also in the files with art for every form, but Epic has not announced it, so it stays an upcoming row with no date.
    • Cheat Codes changed: Sprites of any rarity can now come from Rare (blue) and Epic (purple) codes, Epic codes have much better odds of variants and higher rarities, and Legendary (orange) codes always drop a variant. The longer you go without a new Sprite, the better your chance of a variant you don't own yet.
    • Also new: extract 30 Sprites for the Pixel Sprite Trainer Back Bling, and new Mastery Track pages add a Pixel Polli Outfit. KINGDOM HEARTS Power Hours on Saturday, September 19 make Hacker Sprite variants appear more often.
    • The Season 4 checklist is now 19 Sprites and 73 released rows (19 Normal, 18 Gold, 18 Cheat Master, 18 Loot Hacker). Share codes minted from today carry the new v12 order; older v11 links still decode exactly as shared. Season 4 drop rates remain unpublished for every row.
  5. v42.10 Variant

The other 14 Loot Hacker Sprites are live: the Override checklist grows to 61 variants

    • Loot Hacker Bush (listed in-game as Loot Hacker Bushranger), Adventure, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Storm Scout, Overshield, Onigiri, Shadow, Tails, Killswitch, Sonic, Jackrabbit, X-Ray, and Klombo went live on September 10 with the daily Sprite reset (9 AM ET / 6 AM PT). Epic confirmed it that morning — "Hacker Sprite variants are bypassing the mainframe and entering the loot pool" — and all 15 Loot Hacker rows were verified live in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory the same day.
    • How to get them: the new "Loot Hacker Sprite Variant" Loot Hack in the Override tab adds Loot Hacker Sprites to your chest loot pool for 500 Sprite Dust, and further tiers raise the drop rate from your chests to 7%, 9%, 11%, 13%, and finally 15%. It rolls a random Loot Hacker Sprite, and Loot Hacks refresh periodically, so the option may not last past the next refresh. Loot Hacker Crown is still a mastery unlock: win a match with Gold Crown equipped.
    • Epic's post also confirms the bonus — equip a Loot Hacker Sprite to boost your Loot Hack drop rates — matching the in-game line "Increases chances of spawning items from your Loot Hacks."
    • The Season 4 checklist is now 16 Sprites and 61 released rows (16 Normal, 15 Gold, 15 Cheat Master, 15 Loot Hacker), and every Loot Hacker row counts toward completion. Share codes minted from today carry the new v11 order; older v10 links still decode exactly as shared.
    • Season 4 drop rates remain unpublished for every row. Next up, per Epic's roadmap: Power Hours on Saturday, September 12 boost Gold and Cheat Master Sprites.
  6. v42.10 Variant

Loot Hacker bonus confirmed: more items from your Loot Hacks

    • The in-game description for the Loot Hacker variant is now visible on every Loot Hacker entry in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory: "Increases chances of spawning items from your Loot Hacks." It sits on top of each Sprite's normal ability, like Gold's XP bonus and Cheat Master's Cheat Code perk. The variant pages and the best-variant comparison now show it.
    • No roster change this week: still 16 Sprites and 47 released rows, with Loot Hacker Crown the only live Loot Hacker row and the other 14 pending. Season 4 drop rates remain unpublished for every row.
  7. v42.10 New Sprites

v42.10 adds X-Ray, Onigiri, Overshield, and Mega Man: 16 Sprites, 47 variants, and the new Loot Hacker form

    • Four new Sprites went live with v42.10 on September 3 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET: X-Ray (Legendary, Design-A-Sprite winner by Avila215 — periodically marks enemies in an area around you), Onigiri (Rare, Design-A-Sprite winner by Enorull — applies Overdrive after you eat or drink a consumable), Overshield (Rare — grants Overshield that scales with level), and Mega Man (Rare — reduced friction while sliding). All four were verified live in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory the same morning.
    • X-Ray, Onigiri, and Overshield each arrived with Gold and Cheat Master variants. Mega Man is a single-form Sprite with no variants, like Season 3's crossover Sprites.
    • Loot Hacker is a brand-new third variant line: Loot Hacker rows now exist for 15 Sprites (every Sprite except Mega Man). Only Loot Hacker Crown is obtainable so far — win a match with Gold Crown equipped to master it — and the other 14 show as pending on the checklist until they release. Epic has not published what the Loot Hacker bonus does.
    • The Season 4 checklist is now 16 Sprites and 47 released rows (16 Normal, 15 Gold, 15 Cheat Master, 1 Loot Hacker). Share codes minted from today carry the new v10 order; older v9 links still decode exactly as shared.
    • Also in v42.10: mastered Sprites cost half the Sprite Dust to resummon, a new Sprite Mastery reward track, Mastery Mondays return September 7, and Saturday's Power Hours (September 5) boost Cheat Master Sprites. Drop rates for every Season 4 row remain unpublished.
  8. v42.00 New Sprites

Storm Scout is live: the Override checklist grows to 12 Sprites and 36 variants

    • Storm Scout (Rare) and its Gold and Cheat Master variants released on August 29 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET as Sonic Power Hours began — a Saturday drop rather than the usual Thursday reset. Verified live in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory the same day.
    • Ability: after you take 10 Storm damage it grants Overdrive and unlimited Energy, lasting longer with each level; at max level it also reveals future Storm Circles. It spawns near high and mountainous areas and drops from chests and Cheat Code consoles — there is no Lobby Hack for it.
    • Storm Scout now counts toward completion, so the Season 4 checklist is 12 Sprites × Normal, Gold, and Cheat Master = 36 rows. Share codes minted from today carry the new v9 order; older v8 links still decode exactly as shared.
    • Drop rates for every Season 4 row are still unpublished, so odds remain shown as unknown rather than as 0%.
  9. v42.00 Event

New Sprite Day: the full Cheat Master set enters regular loot at 9 AM ET

    • New Sprite Day begins August 27 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT. Cheat Master Klombo, Shadow, Jackrabbit, and Killswitch are the final four Override variants scheduled to become obtainable.
    • Cheat Master Bush, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Adventure, Sonic, and Tails are also moving from lobby cheat-code unlocks into the regular match loot pool.
    • The verified checklist remains 11 released Sprites and 33 Normal, Gold, and Cheat Master rows. No new base Sprite was added in this reset.
    • Drop rates are still unpublished, so the site continues to show unknown odds rather than treating directory 0% placeholders as real rates. Storm Scout remains outside completion until its in-game release is verified.
  10. Site

Sprite Garden guide + full Season 4 sprite guides

    • New guide: the Sprite Garden — everything Epic has confirmed about your collection’s permanent island home, with an honest note on the entry path still being verified.
    • Every verified Season 4 Sprite now has a full guide: ability breakdown, how to get it, all three variants, and whether it’s worth using — from Bush to Klombo and Crown.
    • New deep-dives for the Cheat Master and Gold variants, including how the Cheat Code bonus works and how Gold’s elimination XP stacks with leveling.
    • Season labels are now clearer across variant pages, so Season 4 content and the Season 3 archive are impossible to mix up.
    • Day-1 roster re-verified against the live directory on August 21: 11 Sprites × 3 variants live, Storm Scout still unreleased, drop rates still unpublished — no data changes.
  11. v42.00 New Sprites

Season 4 Override is live — a fresh collection begins

    • The live checklist has moved to Chapter 7 Season 4 Override with 11 verified Sprites and 33 released Normal, Gold, and Cheat Master rows.
    • Bush, Adventure, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Shadow, Tails, Killswitch, Sonic, Jackrabbit, Klombo, and Crown are available in the launch roster.
    • Storm Scout is visible in directory data but is not yet independently confirmed in-game, so it remains outside the checklist total and completion percentage.
    • Season 3 progress is preserved in its own editable checklist. Old share links route there automatically, while new Season 4 codes use a separate versioned roster.
    • Season 4 drop rates are not published yet; the site shows a clear unpublished state instead of displaying 0% placeholders.
  12. Event

Official: your Sprites survive Season 4 — a new generation arrives with 'Override'

    • Epic confirmed the season transition plan: Season 3 Sprites are preserved permanently in the new Sprite Garden (a personal island for your collection), on the Collection page, as Mastery Pod Back Bling styles, and as Guardian Outfit pilots — but they retire from Battle Royale matches.
    • Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" launches August 20 with "a whole new generation of Sprites to collect and master — including new powers and variants." The five Design-A-Sprite contest winners are in: Bullet, Dumpster Dive, Honey, X-Ray, and Pond.
    • Sprite Dust and Gizmos reset to zero at season end ("seasonal housekeeping") — spend them before August 19. Summons are free during Sprite Spree Week anyway.
    • The Season End guide has been updated with everything confirmed so far. This checklist tracks the new Override roster from day one — and every Season 3 share code keeps decoding forever.
  13. v41.30 Event

Sprite Spree Week is live — and the season ends Wednesday

    • The end-of-season Sprite Spree Week event started August 14: summoning Sprites is free (no Sprite Dust cost) and Sprite XP is doubled, with an extra 2x from standing near a lit Cozy Campfire. Best mastery-farming window of the season.
    • Chapter 7 Season 3 "Runners" ends August 19. What happens to your collection in Season 4? We wrote up everything we know — the history, the realistic outcomes, and the last-chance chases — in the new Season End guide.
    • Roster verified against fortnite.gg on August 16: no changes — still 117 released variants across 25 Sprites. Only Gem Punk remains unreleased.
    • Whatever v42.00 brings, this site updates day one — and every Season 3 share code will keep decoding forever.
  14. v41.30 Variant

The Gem wave: six new Gems live, Ironmouse and Gem Grim Reaper are back

    • The six pre-priced Gem variants released together — Gem Water and Gem Earth (0.37%), Gem Duck and Gem Demon (0.1%), Gem Aura (0.08%) and the absurd 0.00001% Gem Zero Point, now the rarest drop in the game by an order of magnitude. Only Gem Punk remains unreleased.
    • Epic re-enabled both July 30 pulls: Ironmouse returns at its pre-published 2.14% base rate and Gem Grim Reaper at 0.00099%. The collection grows from 109 to 117 released variants across 25 Sprites.
    • Every new rate matches the pre-published table exactly — no surprises, verified against fortnite.gg on August 7.
    • Share codes now stamp V7; every older code keeps decoding against its frozen order.
    • Season countdown: Runners ends August 19 — under two weeks left to chase the new Gems.
  15. v41.30 Event

Drop rates rebuilt again; Ironmouse and Gem Grim Reaper pulled back

    • Epic disabled Ironmouse and the Gem Grim Reaper at 2 PM ET on July 30 — just hours after their surprise release — so the collection returns to 109 released variants across 24 Sprites. Both are now listed as upcoming with pre-published rates (Ironmouse 2.14%, Gem Grim Reaper 0.00099%), so expect them back.
    • fortnite.gg republished the entire drop-rate table for the third time: base rates fell across the board (Duck 9% → 6.48%, Dream 6.98% → 4.45%, Batman 2.23% → 1.44%) while special variants rose sharply (Ghost/King/Striker Holofoil are now 1.23%, Seven and Peeky Peely Holofoil 0.85%, Batman Holofoil 0.34%).
    • Nearly every hidden rate is now published: all Lootin' Llama and Peeky Peely finishes, Pollo / Vini Jr. / Burnt Peanut at 2.14%, every Cube (Batman 0.02% up to Earth/Fire/Fishy 0.21%), and Grim Reaper's Gold/Gummy/Galaxy at 0.01%. Curiously, Zero Point's base rate went unpublished — its rarest published finish is now the 0.000014% Cube.
    • We verified the new table is steady-state (identical outside all event windows since July 31) before ingesting it. Share codes now stamp V6; every older code keeps decoding.
    • Season countdown: Runners ends August 19 — Peeky Peely Hours run through August 5.
  16. v41.30 New Sprites

v41.30: four new Sprites and the Quack tier — 91 to 111 variants

    • Four new Sprites join the roster: Lootin' Llama (Legendary — opening Ammo Boxes can upgrade your weapon, with a day-one Gem), Peeky Peely (Legendary — marks nearby rare Sprite variants and their carriers but reveals you too, day-one Holofoil), Ironmouse (Mythic collab, ability being confirmed in-game) and John Wick (Mythic — a Reload-mode pickup that reveals nearby enemies after a knock or elimination; once claimed there you can equip it in Battle Royale).
    • The Quack tier is official: unlock it through Sprite Mastery Part 4 for Water, Earth, Fire and Zero Point. Quack bonus: every other Sprite you carry gains an extra 50% of your Quack Sprite’s level progress.
    • Zero Point's Holofoil and Cube plus Grim Reaper's Gem and Holofoil also went live — the collection grows from 91 to 111 released variants across 25 Sprites, and share codes now stamp V5 (old codes keep decoding).
    • Gem drop rates are pre-published for the six pending Gems (Water/Earth 0.37%, Duck/Demon 0.1%, Aura 0.08%, Zero Point 0.00001%) and Cube rates arrived for Earth/Fire/Fishy (0.25%). Punk's Gem icon is back in the files but still unreleased.
    • Events: Peeky Peely Hours run July 30 – August 5 (boosted Peely spawns 4-5 PM and 11 PM-12 AM ET); Web Shooter Hours on August 1 bring boosted Cube spawns and keep the Sprite Hunt Rift Anomaly active.
  17. v41.20 Event

Summon costs cut across the board

    • Base summon costs dropped ~10% in the July 24 hotfix: Epic 3,000 → 2,700, Legendary 5,000 → 4,500, Mythic 7,500 → 6,750 Sprite Dust. Fishy and Air fell from 2,000 to 1,800; the elemental Rares (Water, Earth, Fire) stay at 100.
    • Special-variant summons were cut even deeper: Rare 4,000 → 2,700, Epic 6,000 → 4,000, Legendary 10,000 → 6,750, Mythic 15,000 → 10,000.
    • Leak watch: Gem Punk and Holofoil Zero Point lost their datamined icons on fortnite.gg (placeholder art again), so they leave the pending list. Gem remains confirmed for Water, Earth, Duck, Demon, Aura and Zero Point, plus Quack Zero Point.
    • Roster re-verified against fortnite.gg on July 25: still 21 Sprites / 91 released variants, every published drop rate unchanged, Cube rates still unlisted. Shinier Hours ran two 2× Sprite XP windows on July 25.
  18. v41.20 Variant

Cube variants go live for eight Sprites

    • Cube variants released for Earth, Fire, Dream, Punk, Fishy, Boss, Grim Reaper and Batman — the collection grows from 83 to 91 released variants.
    • Cube is the official name for the tier previously leaked as "Rift" (same art) — the Rift page now lives at /variants/cube.
    • Cube bonus: grants the Overdrive effect while you are in the Storm. Cube drop rates are not published yet.
    • Pollo now spawns from regular chest loot too, and Epic confirmed its ability: eliminations slowly restore Shield for you and nearby teammates.
    • Leak watch: a "Quack" tier appeared in the files (Zero Point has real art). John Wick is still upcoming.
  19. v41.20 Event

Drop rates republished + Sprite event weekend

    • fortnite.gg republished the full drop-rate table on a new basis — every published rate updated (e.g. Duck 9%, Galaxy Zero Point 0.000016%); Rare base Sprites, Grim Reaper specials and Burnt Peanut no longer list a rate.
    • Batman, Air and Seven rates are now published, including all five day-one Holofoil rates (0.25% Rare / 0.06% Epic / 0.05% Legendary / 0.01% Batman).
    • Sprite events announced: Shiny Hours (Jul 18, boosted Special-variant spawn rates), Striker Hour (Jul 19) and Mastery Mondays (Jul 20, faster Sprite upgrades).
    • No new Sprites this week — the roster holds at 21 Sprites / 83 released variants; John Wick is still upcoming.
  20. v41.20 New Sprites

v41.20 — five new Sprites land

    • Air (Rare), Seven (Legendary) and Batman (Mythic) released — each with Normal, Gold, Gummy, Galaxy AND day-one Holofoil variants.
    • Pollo and Vini Jr. joined as single-variant Mythic Sprites (Sprite Chests and Rare Chests).
    • The collection total jumps from 66 to 83 released variants; only John Wick remains upcoming.
    • Fishy summon cost raised from 100 to 2,000 Sprite Dust; drop rates for the new Sprites are not published yet.
  21. Site

  22. v41.10 Variant

    Holofoil variants go live

    • The Holofoil bonus gives your whole squad a 5% chance to find rare Sprites from containers.
