What Is the Quack Variant in Season 4?

Quack is the seventh Sprite form of Chapter 7 Season 4 Override, added with v42.40 on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Unlike Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter and Trick or Treat, it is not a form every variant-capable Sprite gets: only five Season 4 Sprites have one. Epic’s v42.40 notes announced it alongside a new Pixel Polli style: "The final page of Sprite Mastery rewards is now available, including new Quack Sprites and a new Style for the Pixel Polli Outfit!"

Epic describes the bonus in one line: "Quack Sprite boosts every Sprite you’re carrying with an extra Sprite XP whenever it gains XP." Each time your Quack Sprite earns XP, the other Sprites you carry get extra Sprite XP too, which makes a Quack form a leveling partner for whatever you are trying to master. Epic gives no number for the boost, and the live Sprite directory shows no separate Quack bonus line, so any Season 4 percentage you see quoted is unconfirmed.

Which Sprites Have a Quack Form?

Five: Quack Jonesy, Quack Bush, Quack Adventure, Quack Spooky Dash and Quack Klombo. All five rows are marked released in the live Sprite directory and appear in the table above. No other Season 4 Sprite has a Quack form, including the October 15 arrivals Honey and One Wish Willow, and Epic has not said why these five were chosen.

Each Quack form keeps its Sprite’s own base ability and adds the Quack bonus on top. The directory’s Quack Jonesy page, for example, shows Jonesy’s normal ability, so Quack Jonesy still recovers Health or Shield after you take damage.

How to Get Quack Sprites

Quack Sprites are Sprite Mastery rewards, not drops. Epic places them on the final page of Sprite Mastery rewards, and guides report that you claim each one from the Mastery Reward tab in the Override menu once you have mastered enough Sprites, without finding or extracting anything in a match.

Epic has not published the thresholds. Guides agree on these numbers: Quack Jonesy unlocks at 40 Sprites mastered, Quack Bush at 45, Quack Adventure at 50, Quack Spooky Dash at 55 and Quack Klombo at 60, and one guide places the new Pixel Polli style at 70. Treat these counts as reported, not confirmed by Epic.

Quack and Checklist Completion

Each Quack Sprite is its own row and counts toward checklist completion like any other released form. The Season 4 board has seven theme columns — Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter, Trick or Treat and Quack — and every Sprite without a Quack form shows N/A in the Quack column, the same way single-form Mega Man’s empty cells do. N/A cells are not rows, so they never count against your progress. Tick a Quack form only once you have claimed it.

As of October 15, 2026, the board counts 162 released rows across 27 Sprites: 27 Normal, 26 each of Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter and Trick or Treat, and 5 Quack. New share links use frozen order v18, while older links still decode against the order that existed when they were created, so the new column does not reinterpret your earlier finds.

Quack in Season 3

Quack is not new to Chapter 7. It first appeared in Season 3 with v41.30 on July 30, 2026, as the Sprite Mastery Part 4 unlock for Water, Earth, Fire and Zero Point, with a +50% shared level progress bonus for the other Sprites you carried. Those rows live in the separate Season 3 checklist. Season 4’s Quack forms belong to five different Sprites and are tracked as new rows here. Epic’s Season 4 wording gives no percentage, so don’t assume the Season 3 figure carries over.

Drop Rates and Spawns

There is no Quack drop rate to track. Guides report that Quack Sprites are claimed from mastery rewards rather than found in matches, so there is no chest, supply drop or world spawn to farm, and the drop-rate column above shows a dash. More broadly, no Season 4 drop rate has been published anywhere reliable; the directory’s 0% labels are placeholders, not data.
