What the Lil’ Squibbly Sprite Does

Lil’ Squibbly is an Epic Sprite from Fortnite Treasure Hunters, the season that started on Sunday, November 1, 2026 with update v43.00 on the new island, Crossbones Isle. It turns fishing into a single move.

The live Sprite directory describes the ability this way: jumping into a fishing hole fishes it and gives some bonus loot, and you get more loot as Lil’ Squibbly levels. In other words, you do not need to stop and cast a rod; jumping in does the fishing, and the Sprite adds a little extra on top. Epic’s Treasure Hunters notes do not include their own description, so the directory wording is the only one published.

How to Find and Collect Lil’ Squibbly

Lil’ Squibbly has been collectible since Treasure Hunters launched on November 1, 2026, in both its Normal and Fortune forms. No spawn location or summon cost has been published, so this page does not name a landing spot.

General Sprite sources this season include Wanted Posters, which Epic says turn into a Sprite Treasure Map leading to a buried Sprite Chest when you tear them down, and Mastery Monday, when Sprite XP and Sprite Dust are doubled every Monday from 9 AM ET and Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters appear in bigger numbers. Epic has not listed which Sprites those chests can hold, so they are extra chances rather than a guaranteed Lil’ Squibbly.

No Treasure Hunters drop rates have been published. The live directory’s 0% labels are placeholders, so this site leaves the rate empty.

Lil’ Squibbly Variants: Normal, Fortune and Cursed

Lil’ Squibbly is a three-form Sprite. Normal and Fortune are live, and Epic has scheduled the Cursed line for November 7. Each form keeps the same fishing ability.

Fortune Lil’ Squibbly adds Epic’s Fortune bonus: “Reveals nearby Chests.” Datamines and the game’s icon files call this line “Jeweled”, after its red, gem-encrusted look, so if you searched for a Jeweled Lil’ Squibbly, this is the same form.

Cursed Lil’ Squibbly art is in the game files, with the line’s translucent, ghostly look and glowing eyes. Epic says Cursed “Increases your chance of finding rare Sprite variants, but water damages you.” Since this Sprite’s whole ability involves jumping into a fishing hole, that drawback may matter, but nothing published says whether a fishing hole counts as water for the Cursed effect, or how much damage it deals. Epic also says Gold returns on November 12, but no Gold art exists yet, so a Gold Lil’ Squibbly is not confirmed.

What Is Unpublished, and How to Play Around It

The directory says “some bonus loot” without saying what kind or how much, and it does not give a level count or per-level amounts. It also does not say whether a fishing hole can be fished again after Lil’ Squibbly fishes it, or whether the normal fishing reward is the same as fishing with a rod. This page leaves those details open rather than guessing.

In practice, Lil’ Squibbly saves time at every fishing hole you pass, and the bonus loot is a small extra on top. It suits players who already pick up fish and items from fishing holes. If you spend a lot of time in water, compare Kelper, which restores health over time in water, or Barry O’Fish, which reduces tactical sprint stamina drain in water. These are different effects, not a verified ranking.

Track Each Lil’ Squibbly Form Separately

The free Sprite Checklist gives each Lil’ Squibbly form its own row with separate Collection and Mastery boxes, so owning Normal does not mark Fortune as owned. The Cursed row shows Soon until Cursed releases. Your Season 4 and Season 3 checklists stay separate, so older finds do not count here.
