What the Exmarks Sprite Does

Exmarks is an Epic Sprite from Fortnite Treasure Hunters, the season that started on Sunday, November 1, 2026 with update v43.00 on the new island, Crossbones Isle. As the name hints, it is a treasure-hunting Sprite, and its datamine name is simply “Treasure Map”.

The live Sprite directory describes Exmarks as revealing Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters, and says it spawns a Treasure Map at max level. Epic’s notes do not include a separate description, so the directory is the only published wording. Unlike some Sprites, its entry does not say how the reveal improves as it levels, so this guide does not claim that it does. Epic’s notes do not mention Exmarks by name at all, so everything on this page comes from the directory entry and Epic’s general Treasure Hunters notes.

Why Wanted Posters Matter

Wanted Posters are a new item this season. According to Epic, tearing one down turns it into a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest. That makes Exmarks a Sprite that helps you find more Sprites, at least indirectly: it shows you the posters, and the posters point to Sprite Chests.

There is one gap to keep in mind. The directory says Exmarks reveals and later spawns a “Treasure Map”, while Epic calls the item from a Wanted Poster a “Sprite Treasure Map”. Whether those are the same item, and what the max-level Treasure Map leads to, has not been published. On Mastery Monday, every Monday from 9 AM ET, Epic says Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters appear in bigger numbers, which gives Exmarks more to reveal.

How to Find and Collect Exmarks

Exmarks has been collectible since Treasure Hunters launched on November 1, 2026, in both its Normal and Fortune forms. No spawn location or summon cost has been published, so this page does not name a landing spot. No Treasure Hunters drop rates have been published either; the live directory’s 0% labels are placeholders, so this site leaves the rate empty.

Exmarks Variants: Normal, Fortune and Cursed

Exmarks is a three-form Sprite. Normal and Fortune are live, and Epic has scheduled the Cursed line for November 7. Each form keeps the same reveal ability.

Fortune Exmarks adds Epic’s Fortune bonus: “Reveals nearby Chests.” Together that is maps, posters and chests on one Sprite, although Epic has not described how the reveals display. Datamines and the game’s icon files call this line “Jeweled”, after its red, gem-encrusted look, so if you searched for a Jeweled Exmarks, this is the same form.

Cursed Exmarks art is already in the game files, with the line’s translucent, ghostly look and glowing eyes. Epic says Cursed “Increases your chance of finding rare Sprite variants, but water damages you.” Neither the size of that chance nor the water damage has been published. Epic also says Gold returns on November 12, but no Gold art exists yet, so a Gold Exmarks is not confirmed.

Not published: the reveal radius, how long revealed items stay marked, what “max level” means in levels, and what the max-level Treasure Map contains. If treasure is your focus, compare Wayfinder, which reveals nearby Sprites and grants more items from Buried Chests. These are different effects, not a verified ranking.

Track Each Exmarks Form Separately

The free Sprite Checklist gives each Exmarks form its own row with separate Collection and Mastery boxes, so owning Normal Exmarks does not mark Fortune as owned. The Cursed Exmarks row shows Soon until Cursed releases. Your Season 4 and Season 3 checklists stay separate.
