Open the Sprite Checklist →What the Sweet Dreams Sprite Does
Sweet Dreams is a Mythic Sprite in Fortnite Treasure Hunters, the season that began on Sunday, November 1, 2026 with update v43.00 on Crossbones Isle. Epic calls it “Dream Sprite’s distant cousin,” a nod to Dream, a Sprite from Chapter 7 Season 3. Sweet Dreams is its own Sprite on the Treasure Hunters checklist, so owning Dream from Season 3 does not count toward it.
Its ability, as listed in the live Sprite directory, is a loot reward for leveling: it grants a random item at each level, and at max level it bursts with Mythic loot. The value of the loot increases with each level. That makes Sweet Dreams a Sprite you invest in rather than one you equip for an immediate effect. Epic has not published which items can appear, how many levels it takes to reach max, or what the Mythic burst contains, so this guide does not list them.
Known Issue: Sweet Dreams Placeholder Icon
Epic lists a known issue for Sweet Dreams: it may show a placeholder icon and text in your inventory. This is a display problem Epic has acknowledged, with a fix planned for v43.10. If your Sweet Dreams looks wrong in the inventory, you have not picked up a broken or different Sprite.
The placeholder can also make it harder to confirm what you own at a glance, so check the Sprites screen, where this season’s Sprites appear in numbered order, and its Sprite Stamp, which shows how you got it; View Info explains each Stamp. Epic has not said whether the placeholder affects anything beyond the icon and text, and nothing published suggests the ability itself is affected.
How to Get the Sweet Dreams Sprite
No spawn location or drop rate has been published for Sweet Dreams. Every rate in the live directory reads 0% this season, which means unpublished, not impossible. The only Treasure Hunters Sprite with a named source so far is Lil’ Flacko, from the A$AP Rocky Boss on Captain’s Day.
The season’s general routes are a Wanted Poster, which becomes a Sprite Treasure Map leading to a buried Sprite Chest, and Mastery Monday, every Monday from 9 AM ET, with 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust all day and more Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters around. Because Sweet Dreams pays out as it levels, the double Sprite XP on Mondays is especially useful once you own it.
Sweet Dreams Variants: Only One Form
Sweet Dreams comes in a single Normal form. It has no Fortune (“Jeweled”) form, no Cursed form arriving November 7, and no Gold form listed for the November 12 return. Collect it once and its line is complete; on the checklist its Fortune and Cursed cells show N/A.
Its value grows with play: each level pays out an item, and mastering it also counts toward the 40 Sprites needed for the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella on the Sprite Mastery track under the Treasure tab.
That shapes how to use it. Sweet Dreams does nothing flashy in a single fight; its reward is spread across the levels you earn, with the biggest payout saved for max level. Players who keep one Sprite equipped for many matches, and who save Mastery Monday’s 2x Sprite XP for it, will see the most from it. Since the loot table and level count are unpublished, the size of that final Mythic burst is something you will only learn by getting there.
Track Sweet Dreams on the Checklist
The free Sprite Checklist shows Sweet Dreams as one row with Collection and Mastery boxes, separate from Season 3’s Dream, whose progress stays on the Season 3 checklist.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Sweet Dreams Sprite do?
It grants a random item at each level and bursts with Mythic loot at max level, with loot value increasing each level. The item pool has not been published.
Is Sweet Dreams related to the Dream Sprite?
Epic calls it “Dream Sprite’s distant cousin.” Dream was a Chapter 7 Season 3 Sprite; Sweet Dreams is a separate Treasure Hunters Sprite.
Why does Sweet Dreams show a placeholder icon?
It is a known issue Epic has acknowledged: Sweet Dreams may show a placeholder icon and text in the inventory. A fix is planned for v43.10.
What rarity is Sweet Dreams?
Mythic.
Does Sweet Dreams have Fortune or Cursed variants?
No. It comes only in its Normal form, so those cells show N/A on the checklist.
Where do I find Sweet Dreams?
No spawn location or drop rate has been published. Buried Sprite Chests from Wanted Posters are a general Sprite route, not a confirmed Sweet Dreams source.
When will the Sweet Dreams placeholder icon be fixed?
Epic says a fix is planned for v43.10. Until then, Sweet Dreams may show a placeholder icon and text in your inventory, which Epic lists as a known issue rather than a sign that something is wrong with your Sprite.
