Transponder Snail is a Legendary Sprite in Fortnite Treasure Hunters, the season that started on Sunday, November 1, 2026 with update v43.00 and the new island Crossbones Isle. It arrives in a season built around a One Piece collaboration, with the Straw Hat crew on the island, and it has been live since launch.
Its ability, as listed in the live Sprite directory, is about resources. You get extra resources when you pick them up, and teammates who also have Transponder Snail equipped get some extra resources too. The amount increases with each level. That team clause is the interesting part: the bonus is not a passive aura for the whole squad, it rewards a squad where more than one player runs the same Sprite. Epic has not published the bonus amounts at any level, or how much of it teammates receive.
How to Get the Transponder Snail Sprite
No spawn location has been published for Transponder Snail. The only Treasure Hunters Sprite with a named source so far is Lil’ Flacko, dropped by the A$AP Rocky Boss on Captain’s Day, so this page does not invent a landing spot. The live directory lists 0% for every drop rate this season, which means unpublished rather than unobtainable.
What Epic has described are the season’s general Sprite routes. Tear down a Wanted Poster and it becomes a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest. Mastery Monday returns every Monday from 9 AM ET with 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust all day, and Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters appear in bigger numbers, which makes Mondays a good time both to hunt and to level a Sprite you already have.
Transponder Snail Variants: Why There Is Only One Form
Transponder Snail comes in a single Normal form. It has no Fortune (“Jeweled”) form, no Cursed form arriving on November 7, and no Gold form listed for the November 12 return. Collect the Normal Transponder Snail once and its line is complete.
Because it has only one form, the Cursed bonus that Epic says raises your chance of finding rare Sprite variants does not apply to a Transponder Snail of its own; there is no rarer variant of this Sprite to find. On the checklist its Fortune and Cursed cells show N/A instead of a box.
Is Transponder Snail Worth Using?
Extra resources on pickup help any player who builds, and the teammate bonus makes it a natural pick for a squad that agrees to run it together. Solo, you get only your own bonus. With exact amounts unpublished, judge it by leveling it: the Sprite Mastery track under the Treasure tab rewards progress with Gizmos such as Lucky Locators and Golden Fireworks, unlocks a new page every week, and mastering 40 Sprites earns the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella.
A Legendary rarity tells you how scarce the Sprite is meant to be, not how large its resource bonus is. Since the bonus grows each level, the payoff comes from keeping Transponder Snail equipped over many matches rather than from a single game. Mastery Monday’s double Sprite XP is the quickest window to push it up, and once it is maxed, the Sprite Stamp in the Sprites screen records how you got it; View Info explains each Stamp.
Track Transponder Snail on the Checklist
On the free Sprite Checklist, Transponder Snail is a single row with its own Collection and Mastery boxes, and N/A in the Fortune and Cursed columns. Tick it once you have it, and tick Mastery separately when it is maxed.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Transponder Snail Sprite do?
It grants extra resources when you pick them up, and teammates who also have it equipped get some extra resources too. The amount increases each level; exact values are unpublished.
What rarity is Transponder Snail?
Legendary.
Where do I find the Transponder Snail Sprite?
No spawn location has been published. Buried Sprite Chests from Wanted Posters are a general Sprite route this season, but no source names Transponder Snail specifically.
Does Transponder Snail have Fortune or Cursed variants?
No. It comes only in its Normal form, so its Fortune and Cursed cells show N/A on the checklist.
Does the teammate bonus work if only I equip it?
The directory says the teammate bonus goes to teammates who also have it equipped, so a squadmate without it does not get the extra resources.
What is the Transponder Snail drop rate?
Unpublished. The directory’s 0% is a placeholder, not proof it cannot be found.
Does Transponder Snail get a Gold form on November 12?
Not as far as anything published shows. Epic says Gold returns November 12 but has not named which Sprites get it, and no Gold art exists in the files yet. Transponder Snail is currently a single Normal form.
